“Emergency – which service do you require?”

Of course, you and I know it’s not a human arm but no one in this fic does! What happens when Bella Swan, forensic detective involved in the hunt for an elusive serial killer, gets her hands on it? Shocked at its “otherness,” who can she trust? Where can she go for answers? Enter Edward Masen, a boy whose kiss ten years earlier ruined her for all other men!

“You called off your wedding because of a boy who kissed you at your Senior Prom when you were eighteen” Angela cried incredulously. “For God’s sake Bella, you were only with him for one night. Did you sleep with him?”

“No Angela, we just made out when he took me home and it was incredible.
No-one has ever come close to making me feel how I felt that night.”

They meet up again when he shows up and volunteers to extract a DNA fingerprint and perform a Bio-Geographical Ancestry Test on the arm.

He pulled the piece of skin out of the jar with a pair of tweezers and placed it on a slide of glass ready to go under the microscope, however it was obviously too big, so he asked Rosalie for a scalpel. As he leaned over the bench to get the scalpel he saw the piece of skin slide off the glass. “Damn it” he said, thinking that he had caught it with his coat.

He made a few adjustments to the screws and looked again. If Rosalie had been watching him she would have seen his eyes widen for a second and then he sprung back away from the bench, knocking his stool over with a crash.

Two words: Midnight Marathons! Seriously, there are so many excitin’ layers to this story and, once you start readin’ CSI Seattle WA, you won’t be able to stop!

Oh, boy! The Edward we first meet in Dreams and Fantasies isn’t at all the Edward we expect!

Jasper took a sip of orange juice and thought back to the day when Edward signed up with his agency almost twelve years previously. His pushy and very wealthy parents were eager for him to break into the lucrative teen-flick market when he turned sixteen.

He put Edward’s moodiness and arrogance that day down to normal teenage hormones, but unfortunately Edward’s attitude hadn’t changed as he grew into adulthood.

His amazing success had only fueled Edward’s self-belief he was the best thing to happen to the movie industry since Rudolph Valentino. Unfortunately for Jasper, this was actually quite near to the truth. He had to live with the consequences of having a client who was probably the most talented, hard-working and best looking actor of his generation, with the added trauma that he was a big-headed tyrant who thought he was God’s gift to womankind.

Well, Bella certainly doesn’t think he’s God’s gift!

“Can I help you?” she asked as she laid the book on her lap.

“I invited you to come and sit with me – why didn’t you come?”

“No, you didn’t.”

“Yes, I did.”

“No, you sent your lackey to ask me. If you’d have taken the trouble to invite me yourself, I might have considered it, but you didn’t have the manners to ask. So why should I want to spend time with an impolite, gutless individual, who doesn’t have the balls to approach me himself? Now please leave me alone, you’re disturbing me.”

Edward’s mouth dropped open as she spoke. He stared angrily at her as she picked up her book and carried on reading as if he wasn’t there.

Edward bent over her and hissed in her ear. “You don’t really want to do that; do you, Is-a-bell-a?”

“That’s it you fuckwit; I’m calling the steward.”

Edward held his hands up in surrender and backed away from Isabella, who by now was out of her seat and seething with anger. He turned around and was walking quickly back to his own seat when he heard Isabella shout out above the heads of the other passengers.

Is there any hope for Edward and Bella? Well, yes; with a little help from Alice!

“Look, Alice, you’re a nice person, but nobody gets in my head. No-one can control my mind. Dreams are just dreams, and fantasies are a bit of fun to while away the time when you’re on a twelve-hour flight. Witchcraft is also bullshit, in my opinion!”

Alice still had hold of Edward’s hand, so she turned it over and examined his palm, running her fingertips over his open hand. She fixed her gaze on his eyes whilst rubbing her thumb inside his hand, and he stared back at her without speaking. She smiled warmly up at him, and uttered some words under her breath, then leaned over and whispered a few words in his ear. Edward smiled back at her and relaxed. She finally let go of his hand and replaced it on the sofa.

And from that night on, Edward suffers incredibly realistic, uncontrollable nightmares and even daydreams that bring him to his knees!

It’s certainly fun watchin’ him squirm while he learns how to grow the fuck up!
