So, this happened the other day…an email alert popped up in my in-box for a new story by an author not listed on my TBR!
This bein’ her very first fic, I had no freakin’ idea how this had come about! Well, the only way to find out was to ask, right?
So this is a bit of a mystery…I put you on alert almost 2 years ago on May 20, 2014 but I don’t remember why since this is the first chapter of your first fic which means there was nothin’ on your profile for me to follow…or was there? In any case, I’m callin’ it a happy accident LOL!
Hi Rita01tx, thanks for reviewing!
As for having me as an alert a while back, this was actually a close friend’s account! Unfortunately, some incidents in her personal life have stopped her from writing, but after I showed her my story, she encouraged me to publish on this account. So, this is my first story, just not this account’s first story. 🙂
Anyway, I hope you enjoy the story and that this really does turn out to be a happy coincidence!! 🙂
And a very happy coincidence it is!
Bella is in a writin’ slump so Alice invites her to New York City for inspiration! I’d say there was inspiration and more to be found right there at her hotel!
“Shit,” I hiss as I stumble, nearly tumbling to the ground. My bag falls heavily to the ground, my phone slipping out of it and onto the marble floor.
Hands grab my hips and steady me by holding me close to a hard chest. “Are you alright?”
The voice is smooth and low, and has me looking up curiously. Deep green eyes meet my gaze. They’re set against defined cheekbones and a sharp jaw, surrounded by a mane of perfectly coiffed dark brown hair. Broad shoulders draped in a crisp suit taper into long arms and large hands which are still burning holes through my jacket and jeans into my skin.
I take a deep breath and step back. “Yes.” I hold my voice firm. “I’m sorry about that.”
One corner of his lips quirk upwards in a half smile. “No worries.” He cocks his head slightly to the right and studies me. His gaze is…burns. It’s sort of like staring straight into the sun.
I’m really excited to watch this one unfold, especially as Suitwards are my own, personal brand of heroin!
There might be a bit of angst attached to my second offerin’ but I’m confident it’s nothin’ Bella can’t handle!
Pushing open the door right next to the master bedroom I revealed my son’s bedroom. In his crib sat both a stuffed crab and a stuffed donkey, both in respect of his father, along with a teddy bear that had been mine when I was a baby. Hell, who was I kidding I had slept with that bear all the way through college. Alice walked around the dragging her fingers along the wavy line that split the walls in half with the top half being a pale blue and the bottom half a pale green. “I like it, it’s cute.” She said going over to the crib where she picked up all three stuffed animals that sat tucked in the corner.
“What’s with this odd assortment?” She asked before placing the bear back into his corner. “I recognized Forrest from all the times you toted that thing around but I don’t get the crab and the jackass.”
I walked over to the rocker that I had put in the corner of the room lowering myself down into its cushions before answering my sweet little cousin. “They are in honor of his father. His daddy works on a crab boat and is being a jackass at the moment so the animals seemed fitting when I saw them in the store.” I explained softly as I rubbed a hand over the spot where my son was pressing against my stomach.
I watched as Alice sat the animals back into the crib then walking over to the dresser that was well on its way to being full of clothes before it finally dawned on her. “The only person I know that works on a crab boat and was around you around the time you got knocked up is Jasper’s cousin….”
Today’s completed rec has a fast burnin’, eight chapter fuse before explodin’ into an action packed adventure! As a WIP, it was a nail bitin’ wait for the next chapter so you guys are lucky LOL!

Bella doesn’t know the cute boy she met her first day at college…the same boy who just survived lunch with her Italian parents, is an undercover FBI agent!
As Bella bent to get in the car, I held my hand out to him. “Mr. Rossi, it was a pleasure.” This time he at least didn’t squeeze as hard.
“Mrs. Rossi,” I nodded to her again in respect and earned a tremulous smile.
“Love you!” Isabella shouted again as the door started to close.
Then all hell broke loose as gunshots shattered the quiet, the events unfolding as if in slow motion.
Felix spun backwards as his body guards began shouting out orders. Bella’s screams joined Irina’s, but her mother’s voice was silenced as her chest exploded in a gush of red. As she dropped to the ground, the men around drew guns, aiming across the street, and the man who’d ushered us into the car, slammed his hand on top of the roof. Alec gunned the Maybach out of the drive and onto the road, even as bullets pelted the windshield shattering it.
“Alec!” she sobbed.
She was so tiny and scared, and it was only going to get worse. She probably hadn’t processed it yet, but there was no way her mother had survived that chest shot.
“Baby, hang on. He’s trying to get us to safety.”
A hard bump sent the car squalling to the side, and Alec cursed as the sound of more bullets hit the car from behind. The squealing of tires precipitated another direct hit and the vehicle lurched to the side again. Leaning up far enough to see over the back seat, I saw a suburban tailing us. Someone was determined to get to Bella.
I sat up, leaning over to the front seat. I shouldn’t have, because the next jar caused me to lurch to the side, hitting my head against metal. Bella screamed, and I saw stars. Feeling the warm flow of blood down my face, I swiped it away. Alec was worse off. I’d gotten a glimpse of the blood splattered across the front area.
“Alec. Give me a gun!” Gone was my frat boy voice. The game was up. Someone was trying to kill Bella, and since I knew the FBI wasn’t that stupid, it meant that another enemy had surfaced. We were going to die if we didn’t do something.
Something in my voice must have conveyed the change, because Alec looked back into the mirror, his eyes widening. He flipped a Glock over the divider as he went into another curve. Unfortunately, the SUV chasing us hit at the exact moment, and the momentum carried the car over onto its side.
The screech of metal against pavement, glass shattering, and more gunfire filled the air as Bella and I went flying.
And that was just the beginnin’ of the runnin’, screamin’, shootin’, bleedin’ and dyin’, with some amazin’ twists and turns that will keep you rivited until the end!
You know how I’ve been in re-read mode lately? Well, cruisin’ Content1’s author list, I remembered how much I loved…
Rated: Fiction M – English – Angst/Romance – Edward, Bella – Chapters: 89 – Words: 465,907 – Reviews: 11,252 – Favs: 3,246 – Follows: 2,301 – Updated:Feb 10, 2015 – Published: Sep 30, 2011 – Status: Complete – id: 7423404
If you remember this boardroom scene, you’ll understand why this is a “must read / reread!”
“Mr. Cullen, I apologize, but there is a young lady here, and she insists on seeing you.”
Emmett snorted something like “take a number” under his breath with disgust. He didn’t appreciate my haphazard approach to sex. He thought I needed to find someone to settle down with. He, of course, knew why that was impossible for me.
Her face remained professional. “She indicates that she is your daughter.”
That brought another round of comments from the table. I’d had numerous “children” show up over the years, egged on by the stupid mistakes in women I’d indulged in and their greed. After the first years, I’d been smart enough to use condoms, buying only the best ones, hoping that I’d never have the whole “broken one” episode. Luckily, all the imposters had turned out not to be mine. At least the latest episode attached to my indulgences had my mom glaring at me for something other than the outburst with the hospital administrator. She loved me, there was no doubt, but my refusal to speak about the things that haunted me worried her. She knew my sexual liaisons were just one of the ways I buried the pain. She groaned every time the newspaper featured a picture of me with someone new…which was often.
“I’ll have security escort her out, and tell her to contact our lawyers,” Mrs. Brown said softly. It wasn’t the first one she’d had to do that with.
“Thank you,” I said softly.
The door closed and then a ruckus occurred. “I don’t care what he said; I’m here to see him!”
You had to give this one credit, she had balls.
There was the sound of a struggle, and I assumed security had arrived. But what happened next surprised us all. The door swung opened bouncing back against the wall and in stepped a ghost from my past. I lurched to my feet as I heard Alice gasp from across the table.
Bella stood in front of me, her chest heaving and a flush blossoming across her pale cheeks. Her dark chocolate hair swirled around her slim body. She was dressed in the jeans she so often wore, and the deep green of her long sleeved shirt emphasized her wide green eyes.
My green eyes…
And, as if to add insult to injury…
We heard the sound of multiple individuals returning, and I was shocked again as a mini Jacob Black was escorted into our midst. I wasn’t the only one. Only Jasper and Rosalie were oblivious to the connotation. He silently observed us in a manner so similar to his father. There was only a slight difference in the structure of his face, but he was Jacob’s son.
How apropos that Jacob’s son would be my daughter’s boyfriend. It kept getting better and better. He and I were going to have to have a little talk. A big talk.
My love for this fic is HUGE!
What fics do you absolutely love?
Happy Friday, y’all!
