The Search ~ When Bella Swan flees to London to escape her painful and humiliating past her new life is knocked off its axis by her charismatic and ambitious boss, Edward Cullen. Can Ed unravel Bella’s secrets and get what he wants without revealing his own demons…and his heart? AH. Britishward.

The Search may not be your typical CEOward, in fact; technically he’s a ruthless headhunter, but he does wear a suit and tie to the office. I loved this story for a myriad of reasons. One of the main ones being this Edward. He’s demanding, sexy, sweet and British to boot! What more could you ask for? And the Bella is simply endearing, as well. Life isn’t easy for these two coworkers, especially when the demons you are running away from have a way of coming right back at you. And the alternating POV’s let you delve into each character without repetition. This story will have you cheering for both Edward and Bella to overcome their pasts and hopefully create a future together.
Chapter 4 EPOV
I wander back to my office and try to shake off Aro’s comment. Usually people’s jokes and jibes about my working style (and let’s be honest my personal life too) slide off like water from a duck’s back but this time it grates on me. I know I can be an arsehole to work with, I’m not a fool, and my colleagues aren’t afraid to be honest with me, but I’m really uncomfortable about the fact that someone may have already given Isabella Swan this impression.
I study the back of her head from the doorway of my office as discreetly as possible. As backs of heads go it’s a beautiful one. I clear my throat purposely and she leaps a foot in the air. What’s the deal with this poor bird’s nerves?
“Hi again, I’m sorry to keep you waiting.” I say, sitting down at my desk. “Shall we get started?”
She nods, readies the pen and paper on her lap and smiles up at me. Once again my heart gathers some extra, unnecessary speed. This is getting quite ridiculous.
“So I assume Kate showed you the ropes before she left?”
“For the most part.” Bella replies. “She didn’t have a chance to go through everything but I’ve got the basics I think. Plus, I’m familiar with all the systems and procedure from Seattle so that’s an advantage.”
It’s the most I’ve heard her speak so far. Her accent is delicate, easy on the ears. Some Americans can sound alittle brash to me but Bella’s voice is soft and subtle.
Apparently my misbehaving heartbeat agrees.
“Good. Although I should warn you we have some of our own procedures that may differ from what you are used to.”
A tiny wrinkle of confusion furrows her forehead. “But I thought all offices worked the same way with the same systems?”
I snort. “Not here they don’t. We have some of our own methods that you’ll definitely need to adhere to.” Was that a little harsh? I might as well get all the expectations on the table.
She nods but looks unsure. I remind myself that she is a pod person from Volturi Seattle and will need to be broken in a little.
“We’ll go through all my current assignments and I’ll get you up to speed on where we’re at and then you can attack your in-tray and inbox which I can promise will be full about 30 seconds after I get logged on. Sound good?”
“Yes, sir” she nods.
“And enough of the ‘sir’. We’re not in school, Isabella.”
She squares her shoulders and sits up a little straighter”Well then, enough of the ‘Isabella’. It’s Bella, remember?”
Whoa. Not so shy then, are you, Treacle? I can’t help but chuckle, Aro may just end up eating his hat after all.
And so it begins! I highly recommend joining these two on their adventure of getting to know each other. There are laughs, tears, anger and love along the way, and Amber’s Pen does it brilliantly.

No Ordinary Proposal ~ Bella wants to escape her small-town life and live her dreams in New York. What happens when a man almost twice her age makes her an offer she can’t refuse? AH/M
Twilight – Rated: M – English – Romance/Drama – Chapters: 36 – Words: 158,712 – Reviews: 10254 – Updated: 1-6-13 – Published: 5-6-12 – Bella, Edward – Complete
No Ordinary Proposal by Twilover76 is no ordinary fic; it’s one of my favourite CEOwards as it kept me reading incessantly, kept me wanting more, with how its intricate “proposal” plays out throughout the story. NOP Edward is powerful, possessive, commanding, intelligent, rich, hot, sexy, older – 38, and so loving and caring – he’s one of a kind, in my CEO world – and soon to be so in Bella’s, as well!
Eighteen-year-old Bella Swan from Forks, Washington, has not had an easy life – orphaned as a young teen, with only her step-father to help her, she is looking forward to getting out of the small town, with all its sad memories. Upon graduation she planned to move to New York to attend NYU, even thought she had secured a full scholarship through the “Edward Cullen Scholarship fund,” but sometimes our dreams can come crashing down, and that is exactly what happened to Bella. She lost the scholarship because, “…one week after receiving the news I was the scholarship winner, I was told by the same employee that an error had been made. Another student in my class was to receive the award instead.” Needless to say, Bella is “emotionally and financially” devastated. As a last resort, she reaches out to President/CEO Edward Cullen of Cullen-Whitlock, Inc., via letters, phone, and then, as a desperate measure, a face-to-face meeting in New York – because her future depends on that money. But what she gets – the proposal she receives – is much more than she ever bargained for…
*excerpt from Chapter 6*
“So, Bella, tell me about yourself.”
“Not much to tell.” I met his gaze. “Besides, I’m pretty sure you know everything already.”
He smirked. “I’ve done some homework, but I think there’s a lot more I have yet to find out.”
I really wanted to slap that smug smirk away…or maybe kiss it away.
Stop it, Bella!
I was getting frustrated with myself as much as with him.
“But why do you want to know more? What is all this about?” I asked angrily, waving my hand at the wine and candles.
His eyes glittered as his smile grew. “I wondered what you would look like when you got feisty. It’s better than I imagined.”
Before I could fire off a retort, Hannah appeared with our dinners. I had completely lost my appetite, but I thanked her anyway. If I hadn’t been thoroughly confused and intensely aroused at the same time, the shrimp linguine would have been perfect for the setting.
I took a big gulp of wine, and then watched Edward fill my glass back up. His eyes never left mine.
He twirled noodles around his fork and slurped them down with a grin.
“You should really try this, Bella. It’s delicious.”
“You didn’t answer my questions.” I took another drink of wine and folded my arms over my chest defiantly.
He hummed, and tilted his head. “You really haven’t figured it out?”
“No, Edward. I don’t know. Tell me why I’m here.”
He put his fork down and leaned forward again. “It’s actually quite simple. I want you, Bella.”
Oh, yeah, and there you have it…stemming from Edward’s want, comes his proposal; the crux of this consuming story. But what does CEOward really want from Bella? Is there more to Edward’s motivation? And what does this “proposal” actually entail? Well, you need to read all that for yourself, as I simply could not do it justice in a review.
I could fill this post with the many reasons why I love this fic – the fabulous Bella – young but mature beyond her years, the complex Edward, the intense emotional aspects for both of them, the strong sexual chemistry they share, the snags thrown their way… And I could share all I want to about how the story unfolds, as it’s truly involved and much more multifaceted than Bella ever thought, but reading it, is part of the excellent experience…because Edward sure puts forth one good – and beneficial for both – “contract” to entice young Bella! *wink*
Read on, my friends, because if you haven’t read No Ordinary Proposal yet, I’m certain you will thoroughly enjoy it. And may it become as memorable a CEOward for you, as it was for me!
The Dress ~ Edward Cullen: Successful, arrogant, dominant, whorehound. Bella Swan: Confident, ambitious, seductress, workaholic. Two COO’s with one goal: To stop at nothing to reach the top. “Edward Cullen: Successful, arrogant, dominant, whorehound. Bella Swan: Confident, ambitious, seductress, workaholic. Two COO’s with one goal: To stop at nothing to reach the top. Even if it means pushing the other person over the edge.” Well, there you have it, what this story is all about! And, yes, it’s a hell of wildly romance-filled read full of UST and more.
The Dress was originally written for The Dirty Talking Edward contest, and to our great reading pleasure, is now being expanded. It was one of my favourite entries, as this CEOward is one smooth talker; hot, dirty, sexy, and full of cockiness…er, I mean personality, just the way I like him. There is indeed something about this Edward that captivates me – he’s just so cocksure, which I love to read, but it’s also his pursuit of this confident, intelligent Bella, the way he teases and goads her, that is really quite amusing and makes me keep reading, as their professional lives become intertwined. They have an awesome dynamic. Bella is brilliant in her rebuffs to him, as he attempts to work together on a more personal level. I also love their banter…it’s so filled with UST, and, I gotta say, Bella sure has one hell of a strong resolve to resist COOward, after their initial “encounter”…
I narrowed my eyes. “I should have known you were a Cullen. Of course you’re not used to people telling you no.”
“You seemed to be saying yes, loud and clear, earlier in the supply room.”
“I didn’t realize that you were the asshole that tried to take my Dad’s company from him.”
He lifted his hands up. “That was a misunderstanding.”
“Bribing our board members for their stock shares was a misunderstanding, Edward? No wonder you’re in the business of testing out whores. You have no morals or ethics.”
“Such harsh words from the same mouth that was begging me to make her come.”
“It was a lapse in judgment, but I promise you, I will not be making that mistake again,” I hissed out.
“Why not? Maybe a little untightening of that cork you have up your ass would help you a bit.”
I leaned in close, and it took everything in me to not choke him. “The cork I have up my ass is working just fine. Mmmm, very fine indeed,” I moaned out.
I quickly stepped away, but could feel him on my heels. When I reached the bar, he pressed himself against my back and whispered, “You can’t say stuff like that and then walk away.”
I wiggled around to face him. “I’m not on your payroll, Cullen! I can’t be bought. Oh, but you know this. Just like you know I delivered you and your dad’s ass on a platter for trying to take over my family’s company!”
He grinned, then nodded at the gentleman beside me; I hadn’t even noticed him. We both said nothing and waited until he left. Edward was the first to speak. “I must say, it was a surprise to see that your people figured things out. I made sure I had covered all the bases.”
“You’re surprised that the Cullens were outsmarted? From what I know about your family, I’m surprised you got this far. Yet, old money does that. The less one has to work for anything, the more useless they become, I think. In your case, a generation of sorts.”
“Leave my family out of this!” he snapped.
I grinned. “But why? You tried to take everything that mine has worked for.”
He composed himself and placed hard grin on his devilish face. “Well, look at us now. We have two happy families joined as one.”
“We’ll see just how happy you are Cullen, when I’m done with you.”
When I went to leave, he grabbed my arm. “Is that a promise, Isabella?”
I yanked my arm out of his grip and stormed away.
And that is only a taste of the fire that burns between these two whenever they are thrown together, and talking of asses, as Bella says, “As much as the man was an ass, he was an intelligent ass.” I love that analysis because I have a good feeling there is more to this Edward than meets the eye.
We now have five chapters, including the original one shot, and I am anxiously awaiting more…as things seem to be heating up in the board room, on the Cullen’s private plane…and under Bella’s dress! lol

Love Tokyo Style ~ O/S – Edward, a lonely executive on a business trip in Japan, is encouraged to loosen up and enjoy the city. Will he find a cure for the monotony in an uninhibited punk he meets in a Karaoke bar? Written for FGBAutism
Rated: Fiction M – English – Romance/Humor – Edward & Bella – Words: 7,399 – Reviews: 43 – Favs: 120 – Follows: 50 – Published: 05-02-11 – Status: Complete – id: 6960559
I easily can recall reading numerous stories where Edward and Bella meet in a bar, I can even think of a few where they meet to the backdrop of dubious tunes in a karaoke bar, but this is my the first fic where they meet in a karaoke bar in Japan!
The most unusual setting, with its illuminating glimpse of Japanese culture, is not the only facet of this fic that makes it feel unique. I can honestly say, hand on heart, that I’ve never met an Edward and Bella quite like these; IMHO, they were masterfully depicted by the talented and creative SoapyMayhem.
Given as this is a one-shot, I don’t want to reveal too much, but between the summary, the post title, and the fabulous banner, you must have already guessed the obvious difference in appearance of our favourite couple. Ceoward considers himself to be “pathetically boring”, (personally I find him to be bordering on nerdy – just the way I love Edward to be) and entrancing Bella is a self-assured punk rocker. At first I thought of the saying ‘opposites attract’, but, it’s more than that with these two – ‘don’t judge a book by its cover’ is more appropriate, as Edward and Bella learn how true that actually is…
Quickly, I wash my hands and retreat to the comfort of the booth. As I am making my way back, I hear the sultriest voice I’ve ever heard belting out the chorus of Janis Joplin’s ‘Piece of My Heart.’ It’s awe-inspiring and would give Janis herself a run for her money. I push my way through the crowd to place a face with that voice. The first thing I see is the top of a very tall, very blonde mohawk.
As the crowd parts, I start to make out more and more of her features. She is taller than the punk pixie and curvier than the girl with the Cock T’s t-shirt. It’s her face that truly stops me short.
Under the blue lights, she’s ethereal. Pale skin, heart-shaped face, full red lips, and deep dark soulful eyes make me ignore the bright purple eye shadow and enormous blonde mohawk streaked with black that crowns her head.
Her eyes close for few moments, like she means every word of the song. I wonder if she’s singing it about someone in particular. When she opens those stunning eyes, it’s almost as if they’re drawn to mine. I realize I have moved all the way to the stage, and I am closer than I probably should be. Before I can stalk off from the embarrassment I feel, she smiles and continues singing, not taking her eyes off me for the rest of the song.
Oooh, I love how Edward and Bella have such a palpable and pitch perfect connection – read Love Tokyo Style and you will feel it too.

This Is Who I Am ~ Edward Cullen, successful business exec/playboy/all around bad boy. Bella Swan, divorced mom/graphic artist/unwilling to trust her heart to the likes of someone like Edward again. Will she give him a chance? Does he even deserve one? AH, AU ExB
Twilight – Rated: M – English – Romance/Drama – Chapters: 39 – Words: 362,984 – Reviews: 5612 – Updated: 6-29-11 – Published: 5-18-10 – Edward, Bella – Complete
My choice for “CEOWard” today is one of my personal favourites, “This is Who I am” by the incomparable pattyrose.
When we meet Edward – co-founder and executive of one of the most sought after Marketing companies on the East Coast, Cullen, Cullen and Whitlock – on the surface, he is a success story – rich, successful, drop-dead gorgeous. But simmering underneath all the “pretty”, is a man who is lost.
We start to see the real Edward surface the day he meets a gorgeous little girl and her mother…
“I ignored her for the moment while I studied the little girl. She was definitely a beauty. Tiny – no more than five I’d say, with a face like a porcelain doll. Her long, brown hair flowed almost to her waist. Her big brown eyes looked like pools of melted chocolate, and her little button nose turned up slightly at the end, like a little cherub. I suddenly got the strange urge to protect this little girl, to keep her safe from everything and everyone that would ever want to mess with her.
Abruptly, she skipped back over to me and stopped just inches away.
“I’m sorry mistuh! I fowgot to say thank you. But my mommy would be looking fuh me and I didn’t want huh to wouwy. Thank you!” she exclaimed, looking much happier than she had just a few seconds ago.
“You’re very welcome,” I chuckled, ignoring the way Rosalie’s eyes were piercing a hole through my brain. At that moment, I couldn’t have cared less about the shitload of grief I knew I was in for.
The little angel hugged her doll close to her and gave her a soft kiss on the head, looking up at me through long, dark eyelashes. Just then, the brunette reached her.
“Maddie,” she breathed, both relief and slight reproach in her tone. “I told you to stay in my cube while I went to the copy room. You almost gave me a heart attack.” She knelt down and hugged the little girl to her.
“I had to get Angie mommy,” the little girl explained, her voice muffled in her mother’s hair. Hair that I was now noticing was the same exact shade as her daughter’s. “The nice man heeuh found huh fuh me.”
“He did?” the brunette asked, pulling her daughter far enough away so that she could look into her tiny face. “Did you thank him?”
“Uhuh,” she answered sweetly, but looked back up at me. “Thank you so much mistuh!” she repeated.
“Call me Edward,” I encouraged, surprised by the mellowness in my own voice. I couldn’t remember ever having used that tone. “Mister is my father,” I added, and then regretted it right away. I could’ve listened to her call me ‘mistuh’ all day.
The little girl giggled.
“Thank you, Edwood,” she corrected herself.
My mouth turned up in a smile. Scratch that. I could listen to her call me ‘Edwood’ all day.”
Edward loses his heart that day (even though it takes him a while to realize what is going on) and suddenly his life takes on new meaning. But this is no easy love story – it is a hard road for both Edward and Bella. Edward has to prove to Bella he is a changed man, and Bella is wary of smooth-talking handsome men (with incredibly good reason), not to mention she has her beautiful Maddie to protect.
I truly felt for Edward, his playboy history keeps coming to slap him in the face at the worst times, and honestly, I just wanted to give the poor guy a hug! (but you know I am biased.. . LOL). Edward is definitely not a bad person, quite the contrary, but he has made some bad decisions in his past *cough* Tanya *cough*.
What I loved most about This is Who I Am, is watching Edward and Maddie fall in love with each other. There is a very special connection between them – like Edward was meant to be her father all along. Ah, Fate – you have to love it, and this story is all about three souls that are fated to be together, no matter what is thrown at them.

Plan B ~ Plan B: a strategy or plan to be implemented if the original one proves impracticable or unsuccessful. Best used in the cold light of day, after waking up in bed next to a virtual stranger. An E/B three shot.
Rated: Fiction M – English – Romance/Drama – Bella, Edward – Chapters: 3 – Words: 11,389 – Reviews: 544 – Favs: 594 – Follows: 599 – Updated: 06-12-13 – Published: 06-05-13 – Status: Complete – id: 9360397
What do I expect from the very best CEOwards? Well, I like them to be confident -maybe, a touch arrogant, even. Erm…commanding? Yep, definitely commanding. Sharp, intelligent, slightly cunning, powerful, masterful…oh yessssss…that works. Masterful and, of course, sexy. Most importantly – sexy. Oh heck *fans self*. Mmmm. Well, Chocaholic123 does not disappoint and gives us all of those qualities and more in her Plan B Edward, even if we’re not quite sure who he is… Let’s face it, you don’t ask for a résumé when it’s a one night stand.
The rules of a one night stand dictate I should gather up my clothes and leave as quietly as possible. My cocktail dress hangs carelessly from the fifty inch TV screen in the corner of the room, but there’s no evidence of my panties and bra. I guess we were pretty eager to get rid of our clothes last night. I shut my eyes and remember the way he practically ripped the clothes from my body, before running his hands all over me, palms rising and dipping with the contours of my curves.
My skin tingles with the memory of his touch, and I’m almost regretful I have to leave. But I need to play by the rules. You don’t have hot, meaningless sex—three times—with a gorgeous stranger and hang around to make small talk in the morning. You gather up your clothes along with your self-esteem, and make a quick escape, clinging on to the memory of the one hot, steamy night when you were worshipped like a goddess.
And boy, did he worship me. Even before we started to talk in the bar, his gaze was firmly on my body, following me around the room with deep green irises. I’d felt like I was on fire all night, his scrutiny lending me a certain confidence; enough to make me shine amongst the men and women attending the 71st Annual Interior Design Conference.
Bringing myself back to the present, I shimmy out of the queen sized bed, scrambling around the hotel room on my knees, desperate to locate my navy lace bra and panties. They’re the best I own—bought in an extravagant fit of madness—and I’m damned if I’m going to leave them behind as a trophy.
Even if he does deserve an award for his prowess.
Unfortunately for Bella (but fortunately for us 😉 ) she doesn’t make a smooth getaway, and so we get to see some more of Edward’s…err…prowess! Plan B is perfect short read with a lovely Bella and a sexy-as-sin Edward who definitely knows the art of negotiation and how to wield his power.
More CEOwards to turn you on…er, for your reading pleasure…
